Early adulthood is a transitional period from adolescence to adulthood. This period often affects emotional stability and causes anxiety. Excessive anxiety frequently triggers overthinking. The approaches used in this study include developmental psychology theory, the expressionist aesthetic theory, and ergonomic theory. Additionally, the creation process employs the Practice-led Research method, encompassing the stages of preparation, imagination, development of imagination, and execution. The creative process involves the batik lorod (hand-drawn batik) technique with textile dyes using the colet remasol technique. The steps include pattern creation, motif tracing, waxing (canting), dyeing, batik finishing, fabric cutting, sewing, and garment finishing. The final products of this project consist of five outerwear garments, each featuring unique batik colours and designs. These five pieces are titled Fear of the Unknown, Shadows of What-Ifs, Endless Loops, Shattered, and The Sea of Uncertainty. The distinct titles aim to convey the theme of each outerwear
Lidia Vania Sukarno, Retno Purwandari, Budi Hartono Copyright (c) 2026 Lidia Vania Sukarno, Retno Purwandari, Budi Hartono https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2155 Sat, 10 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Legal Protection for Health Insurance Policyholders Against Claim Denials Due to Non-Transparent Information in Insurance Policies https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2184
Health is a necessity for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, and health insurance is essential to ensure access to quality medical services while mitigating the financial impact of accidents and illnesses. In Indonesia, a common issue with insurance is the lack of customer understanding of policy terms, leading to misunderstandings. Legal Protection for Health Insurance Policyholders Against Claim Denials Due to Non-Transparent Information in Insurance Policies includes several measures. Customers should actively ask agents and insurance companies for clear explanations of policy terms, carefully review the policy before signing, and contact the Financial Services Authority (OJK) or the Consumer Dispute Settlement Board (BPSK) for mediation. If these steps fail, customers can resort to civil lawsuits. Legal remedies for failed claims involve understanding one’s rights, gathering relevant evidence, seeking written clarification from the insurance company about the claim rejection, and filing an official complaint to OJK. If the issue remains unresolved, the customer can pursue legal action in court.
Erich Stepanes, Christin Septina Basani Copyright (c) 2026 Erich Stepanes, Christin Septina Basani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2184 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of Internal and External Factors Causing Non-Performing Financing (NPF) in Islamic Banks in Indonesia https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2151
Non-Performing Financing (NPF) is a major issue facing Islamic banking in Indonesia, potentially impacting business performance, stability, and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the internal and external factors that contribute to NPF and examine the control mechanisms and financing risk mitigation strategies in Islamic banking. A qualitative approach, using a literature study, was used, through secondary data analysis sourced from Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports, laws and regulations, and relevant scientific journals. The study results indicate that NPF is influenced by internal factors, such as the quality of financing analysis, risk management, contract structure, and customer understanding of Islamic financing products, as well as external factors such as economic conditions, competition between financial institutions, and regulatory changes. NPF control is achieved through the implementation of risk management, encompassing a structured process of risk identification, measurement, monitoring, and control, with the active involvement of management and the Sharia Supervisory Board. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening comprehensive and adaptive financing risk management to reduce NPF levels and maintain the stability of Islamic banking in Indonesia.
Andrina Sabariah Copyright (c) 2026 Andrina Sabariah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2151 Wed, 21 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Artificial Intelligence-Based Irrigation Monitoring Information System For Enhancing Irrigation Rehabilitation Work Supervision https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2182
The rehabilitation of irrigation networks plays a critical role in enhancing agricultural productivity and supporting national food self-sufficiency targets as mandated by Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2025. The central issue of this research lies in the erroneous verification of the defendant’s age, which resulted in a child being treated as an adult and sentenced to death, contrary to Law Number 11 of 2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System and the principles of child protection. This research aims to analyze the procedural failure, explain its juridical and ethical implications, and critically assess practices of dehumanization in juvenile criminal law through the existentialist perspectives of Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus. The study employs a normative legal research method with a qualitative approach, utilizing statutory, case, and legal philosophy approaches, supported by library research on court decisions and existentialist literature. The findings indicate that an excessively formalistic and positivistic application of law has negated the recognition of children as human subjects in the process of becoming, resulting in procedural and existential injustice. This research concludes that child protection in criminal law cannot be understood merely in normative terms but must be grounded in ethical and existential awareness to realize a more humanistic juvenile criminal justice system.
Kevin Wibisana, Angkasa Angkasa Copyright (c) 2026 Kevin Wibisana, Angkasa Angkasa https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2217 Thu, 29 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Paradigm of the Educational Curriculum Perspective of the Qur'an https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2177
This article discusses the paradigm of the educational curriculum in the perspective of the Qur'an as an epistemological, philosophical, and pedagogical foundation for the development of the contemporary education system. This study is motivated by the problems of dehumanization, fragmentation of knowledge, and materialistic orientation that color the modern curriculum, so that an alternative framework that is more integrative and centered on the development of the whole human being (insān kāmil) is needed. Using the literature research method and the maudhū'ī tafsir approach, this article examines the verses of the Qur'an related to educational goals, learning processes, student characters, and scientific structure. The results of the study show that the Qur'anic curriculum paradigm is built on the principles of monotheism, the integration of knowledge and values, moral development, and the strengthening of spiritual and social awareness. The paradigm offers a reorientation of educational goals, a tadabbur-based learning model, as well as a relevant character evaluation approach to answer the challenges of 21st century education. Thus, the Qur'anic perspective education curriculum has the potential to be a normative and practical foundation in formulating a holistic, humanistic, and civilized curriculum. This article recommends the need for further research related to the implementation of the Qur'ani curriculum at various levels of education in Indonesia so that this paradigm can be operationalized more effectively in the context of modern educational praxis.
Irwan Suanto, Kadar M. This study examines the judge's reasoning and considers the values of justice, legal certainty, and legal utility. Using an empirical juridical approach supported by library and field research, the study finds that the judge's decision aligns with the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), particularly Article 171 letter (c), which prohibits non-Muslims from inheriting. However, the judge could have utilized the Supreme Court Jurisprudence No. 1/Yur/Ag/2018 to allow for a mandatory will and made a legal discovery by interpreting the Civil Code more extensively. While the decision adheres to legal certainty under Islamic law, it does not align with the principles of justice or legal utility, nor does it reflect the legal certainty found in the Civil Code and Supreme Court jurisprudence.
Ghina Marta Salmaa Salsabila, Riyanta Riyanta Copyright (c) 2026 Ghina Marta Salmaa Salsabila, Riyanta Riyanta https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2201 Mon, 19 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of The Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (Applications and Product in Data Processing) in Improving Employee Training Management Effectiveness: a Case Study at Pt Kai (Persero) Daop III Cirebon https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2173
This study aims to analyze the implementation of ERP SAP HR in improving the effectiveness of employee training management in the HR and General Division of DAOP III Cirebon. The study used a qualitative approach with purposive sampling techniques to select eight informants who were directly involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training as well as users of SAP/RAILEO ERP. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using NVivo 12 software to identify patterns, themes, subthemes, and linkages between aspects of training management. The results show that SAP ERP supports administrative efficiency, data integration, participant monitoring, and data-driven decision-making. However, the effectiveness of training management is not optimal because there are still manual processes that cause delays in information and gaps between system data and field practice. The Training Center/Training Center has full authority to maintain the security and uniformity of national training, but the limited flexibility for DAOP III hinders responsiveness to local needs. Granting limited access to SAP TEM, reducing manual mechanisms, improving SAP modules, strengthening user capacity, and implementing system integrity dashboards are recommended to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of training management. This study aims to describe and compile various factors before the occurrence of moral detachment in adolescents and young adult individuals using a broad study approach. A total of 23 scientific articles from international and local publication databases between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed thematically. The results of the data aggregation show that moral release is influenced by interactions involving many factors that include individual, social, digital environment, as well as organizational aspects. Intrapersonal traits such as dark personality traits (Dark Triad), anger traits, and low self-control abilities emerged as main indicators. On the environmental side, the weakness of parental bonds, friendship status, exposure to violent media, and a loose school atmosphere significantly accelerate the emergence of moral detachment.
Ratra Adya Airawan, Nida Hasanati Copyright (c) 2026 Ratra Adya Airawan, Nida Hasanati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2171 Tue, 06 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Parenting Patterns Towards Adolescents Who Are Victims of "Inhalant Abuse" Addiction In Biring Romang Village, Manggala Subdistrict, Makassar City https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2194
This research examines the parenting patterns of parents towards adolescents who are victims of glue addiction in Biring Romang Village, Manggala Subdistrict, Makassar City. The phenomenon of inhalant addiction among adolescents is a complex social problem influenced by family, environmental, and psychological factors. This study aims to (1) identify the factors causing adolescents to engage in glue-sniffing behavior, (2) analyze the parenting patterns of parents towards adolescents who are victims of glue addiction, and (3) examine the obstacles faced by parents in dealing with these adolescents. This study uses a qualitative approach with a guidance and counseling perspective, collecting data based on social facts in the field, which are then analyzed descriptively and from which conclusions are drawn inductively. The results of this study indicate that a patient and attentive parenting style with open communication plays a significant role in influencing behavioral changes in adolescents addicted to glue. Adolescents tend to respond positively to a non-repressive parental approach and can build positive emotional relationships. Meanwhile, parents face obstacles such as limited control, negative environmental influences, and social stigma from the community. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of parents' role in maintaining the continuity of positive parenting patterns, the need for social awareness in the community to accept and support adolescents addicted to glue, and the urgency of establishing youth communities at the subdistrict or neighborhood level as a forum for developing adolescent talents and interests.
Irwanti Said, Muqniati Muqniati Copyright (c) 2026 Irwanti Said, Muqniati Muqniati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2194 Thu, 15 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Laissez-Faire Leadership Style and its Implications on the Work Environment and Employee Performance in Public Organizations (A Study at the DKI Jakarta Education Office) https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2169
Leadership is a strategic factor in improving organizational effectiveness, particularly in public sector institutions where service quality and employee performance are closely linked to leadership practices. One leadership style often encountered in government organizations is laissez-faire leadership, which is characterized by minimal direct intervention from leaders and a high level of autonomy granted to employees in carrying out their tasks. While this leadership style may encourage independence and creativity, its effectiveness largely depends on the organizational context, especially the quality of the work environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of laissez-faire leadership on the work environment and employee performance at the DKI Jakarta Education Office. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to employees and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The analysis focuses on examining both the direct and indirect relationships between leadership style, work environment, and employee performance. The results indicate that laissez-faire leadership has a significant influence on the work environment, particularly in terms of flexibility, interpersonal relationships, and perceived autonomy. Furthermore, the work environment is found to have a significant effect on employee performance. However, the direct impact of laissez-faire leadership on employee performance is relatively weak when not supported by a conducive work environment. Therefore, this study concludes that the work environment plays a crucial mediating role in strengthening the influence of laissez-faire leadership on employee performance in public sector organizations.
Nur Hasanah, Firra Fiqriyah, Ravica Sallza Azzahra, Aura Dhia Rizki Atthar, Safuan Safuan Copyright (c) 2026 Nur Hasanah, Firra Fiqriyah, Ravica Sallza Azzahra, Aura Dhia Rizki Atthar, Safuan Safuan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2169 Thu, 15 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of Character Education Strengthening in Optimizing Work Culture of Vocational High School Students https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2190
Character education plays a strategic role in shaping the work culture of Vocational High School (SMK) students, but its integration with work culture based on the needs of the industrial world is still not optimal. Children are more vulnerable to ARI because their respiratory defense mechanisms, including mucociliary clearance and immune responses, are not yet fully developed. This condition increases the risk of infection and the severity of respiratory illnesses. Zinc is an essential micronutrient that plays a crucial role in various enzymatic processes, cellular metabolism, and the regulation of the immune system. Zinc deficiency has been associated with impaired immune function, making children more susceptible to infectious diseases, including ARI. Therefore, zinc supplementation has been proposed as a potential adjunct therapy to improve clinical outcomes in children with ARI. This literature review aimed to evaluate evidence from clinical trials regarding the effectiveness of zinc supplementation as an adjunct therapy in pediatric ARI. A systematic search was conducted using the PubMed, Cochrane Library, and ScienceDirect databases, and study selection and synthesis followed the PRISMA approach. A total of 11 clinical trials were included in this review. The findings demonstrated inconsistent results in terms of symptom duration, severity reduction, and recovery time among children receiving zinc supplementation. Based on the current evidence, zinc supplementation cannot yet be recommended as a routine adjunct therapy for the management of ARI in children, and further high-quality, well-designed clinical trials are needed to clarify its potential benefits.
Nia Pradnya Dewanti, Putu Bagus Ananta Yuktasya, M Arasy Faradina Copyright (c) 2026 Nia Pradnya Dewanti, Putu Bagus Ananta Yuktasya, M Arasy Faradina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2165 Tue, 06 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 From Gratitude to Mental Health: Action Research Gratitude Journaling https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2187
Academic stress is one of the psychological challenges commonly faced by boarding school students due to high academic demands and limited social interaction. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of gratitude journaling in reducing academic stress among eleventh-grade students at Al Nahdlah Islamic Boarding School, Depok. Using the Kemmis and McTaggart (1988) action research model, the study was conducted through three cycles consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. Data were collected using the Academic Stress Scale (QASSE), observation, gratitude journals, and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired-sample t-tests, while qualitative data were analyzed thematically. The results showed a significant reduction in academic stress in Cycle I (p < 0.05; Cohen’s d = 1.214, large effect) and Cycle III (p = 0.037; Cohen’s d = 0.649, moderate effect). Qualitative findings revealed improvements in students’ emotional awareness, reflection, and gratitude expression. These results indicate that gratitude journaling can serve as an effective psychoeducational strategy for reducing academic stress and promoting emotional well-being in boarding school students.
Hazimatul Layyinah, Zarina Akbar, Ratna Dyah Suryaratri Copyright (c) 2026 Hazimatul Layyinah, Zarina Akbar, Ratna Dyah Suryaratri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2187 Thu, 15 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Change Management and Organizational Culture at PT XYZ: Lewin, Kotter, and Schein's Cultural Model Approach https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2158
This study aims to analyze the implementation of change management and the dynamics of organizational culture at XYZ's in facing digital transformation. Data were obtained through informal interviews and observations with analysis using Lewin and Kotter's change theory and Schein's organizational culture. The results show that the implementation of XYZ's change management occurred starting from the unfreeze, change, and refreeze stages and fulfilled Kotter's 8 Steps stages with an organizational culture moving towards digital and collaborative, although resistance still arises from some senior employees. Factors supporting the change include management support, technological infrastructure, and training for employees. Meanwhile, factors inhibiting the change come from low digital literacy and employee unpreparedness. This indicates that an adaptive culture needs to be strengthened through leadership and continuous human resource development.
Nanang Aprianto, Louise Vincent, Randy Restianda Copyright (c) 2026 Nanang Aprianto, Louise Vincent, Randy Restianda https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2158 Mon, 19 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Relationship Between Serum High Density Lipoprotein Levels and Urine Albumin Levels in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients at ODSK Provincial Hospital, North Sulawesi https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2185
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health problem with an increasing prevalence and is estimated to be the fifth leading cause of death by 2040. The main cause of mortality in CKD is cardiovascular complications, particularly atherosclerosis. Damage to glomerular filtration causes urinary albumin, while High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) dysfunction disrupts the reverse transport of cholesterol and the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and vasoprotective properties of HDL. In CKD, changes in the quantity and quality of HDL and increased urinary albumin reflect vascular and renal damage. The research aims to determine the relationship between serum HDL levels and urinary albumin levels in patients with chronic kidney disease at the ODSK Provincial Hospital in North Sulawesi. Methods: The study design used was an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. This study used primary data in the form of blood and urine samples from hemodialysis patients in November 2025. The study employed simple random sampling with a sample size of 30 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Based on the results of Pearson's correlation test, a p-value of 0.237 (> 0.05) was obtained. This issue is important because the qanun is often debated between the legitimacy of local autonomy, the moral demands of the Acehnese people, and modern human rights criticism. This study uses a qualitative-epistemological approach by combining content analysis of Qanun No. 6 of 2014, a literature review of research conducted over the past five years, thematic analysis, and a socio-legal approach to map the relationship between Sharia norms, legal practices, and social dynamics. The results show that qanun has strong historical and political legitimacy and is viewed by the community as an instrument for maintaining moral order and social cohesion after the conflict. From the maqāṣid perspective, qanun can be categorized as an effort to protect religion, life, and public honor, especially when implemented through educational and preventive mechanisms. However, the study also found that alignment with maqāṣid is highly dependent on procedural quality, operational standards, victim protection, and moderation of implementation. This study concludes that reforming implementation is the most maqāṣidi step to ensure substantive justice and protection of human dignity in Aceh.
Siti Aisyah Copyright (c) 2026 Siti Aisyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2183 Wed, 14 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of the Concept of Patient Identification Noncompliance as a Risk Factor for Care Errors https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2147
Accurate patient identification is a main goal of patient safety in health services, as it prevents mistreatment that can cause serious injury or death. Yet, nursing practice shows ongoing non-compliance by health workers with standard procedures, raising medical error risks. Thus, systematically studying non-compliance with patient identification as a mistreatment risk factor is essential. This study analyzes the concept of patient identification non-compliance via Walker and Avant's eight-stage approach. Data came from a systematic review of 60 peer-reviewed articles (2011–2025) from PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect. Results reveal characteristics like failure to follow standards, pre-intervention occurrence, health worker involvement, and intentional/unintentional nature. Antecedents include individual factors, service systems, and work environments. Consequences encompass heightened mistreatment risk, procedural errors, patient injuries, legal/psychological impacts on nurses, and institutional losses. In conclusion, non-compliance with patient identification is a key patient safety concept and triggers major mistreatment. Strengthening compliance requires continuous education, system support, and robust safety culture in facilities.
Pratiwi Ari Hendrawati, Siti Aisah, Aric Vranada Copyright (c) 2026 Pratiwi Ari Hendrawati, Siti Aisah, Aric Vranada https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2147 Sat, 10 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Impact of Parity on Pariental Rupture Incidence Among Delivering Mothers at Clinic Alya Medica https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2221
Childbirth is the process of expelling the products of conception through the birth canal or with medical assistance. This study documents and analyzes the technical implementation of adaptive construction methods in shallow-water environments, contributing to the body of knowledge on sustainable waterfront infrastructure development in densely populated urban areas. The project focused on the arrangement of key waterfront areas, construction of a flying-deck jogging track, development of a floating market for vendor relocation, and light water normalization. This paper applies a descriptive-analytical approach using construction documentation from 2022, supported by field observations, technical specifications analysis, and post-construction evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the engineering solutions implemented. The results show that the application of a flying-deck structure supported by mini piles installed from a pontoon constitutes an adaptive engineering solution suitable for aquatic environments with soft soil conditions and limited terrestrial access. Vendor relocation to the floating market improved spatial order while maintaining local economic activities and providing formal trading infrastructure compliant with hygiene and safety standards. Overall, the redevelopment enhanced public comfort, visual quality, tourism activity, and regional asset protection while demonstrating replicable engineering approaches for similar urban waterfront contexts.
Luki Haidir Ali, Satyanto Krido Saptomo, Moh. A narrative literature review design was employed, with systematic searches of eight academic databases (Scopus, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Taylor & Francis, SAGE, Elsevier, Elicit, and SINTA) conducted during October–November 2024. Following a rigorous screening process, 25 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 and focusing on final-year students or recent graduates (within 1–3 years post-graduation) were selected for analysis. The study revealed that employability is shaped by a balance of technical competence and adaptive ability, aligning with the employability framework as a psychosocial construct. Soft skills—such as communication, collaboration, self-management, and problem-solving—were found to be more dominant in facilitating graduates' adaptation and early performance. Meanwhile, technical skills served as a prerequisite for entry-level positions. The study also highlighted differences in skill requirements between STEM and non-STEM fields: STEM fields prioritized technical expertise, while non-STEM fields focused more on interpersonal skills. The findings suggest that integrating both soft and technical skills through project-based, experiential, and work-integrated learning is the most effective strategy to enhance job readiness. The practical implications stress the importance of designing higher education curricula that balance technical competence with character and social skills, ensuring graduates are adaptive and competitive in the job market.
Atina Ainun Mardiyah, Ainul Hayat Copyright (c) 2026 Atina Ainun Mardiyah, Ainul Hayat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2172 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Ontology, Epistemology, Axiology: A New Path to Understanding Tafsir https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2195
This study examines the interpretation (Tafsir) of the Qur’an through the integration of the three main pillars of the philosophy of science—ontology, epistemology, and axiology—as a novel conceptual framework to achieve a more comprehensive and contextual understanding of Qur’anic interpretation. Conventional Tafsir studies have typically focused on textual methodologies such as Tafsir bi al-ma’tsur and Tafsir bi al-ra’yi, with less emphasis on the philosophical foundations concerning the nature of textual existence, the sources and justification of interpretive knowledge, and the embedded values relevant to contemporary issues. The philosophical approach positions Tafsir not merely as a textual interpretive practice, but as an epistemic endeavor that considers the ontological reality of revelation, the epistemological relationship between reason and revelation, and the axiological implications of hermeneutics within modern social contexts. Using a qualitative descriptive method based on critical literature analysis from primary and secondary sources in Tafsir and philosophy of science, the findings demonstrate that this integrative framework bridges classical Tafsir traditions with the interpretive demands of the present era and expands Tafsir into a multidisciplinary and socially relevant field. The study’s contribution lies particularly in emphasizing the axiological dimension as a crucial aspect of Tafsir studies that not only interprets the text but also directs its values toward practical implementation in the social life of both the Muslim community and broader society.
Moh. The disaster management places local governments as the main actors in the emergency response phase, especially in evacuation, logistics distribution, cross-agency coordination, and crisis communication. This study aims to analyze the response of the Aceh local government to the November 2025 floods and identify the factors that affect the effectiveness of the response. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through analysis of official government documents, online media reports, and social media content of people affected by the floods. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis to identify government response patterns, field constraints, and crisis communication dynamics. The results of the study show that the response of local governments is relatively fast in urban areas with good transportation access. However, there have been significant delays in isolated areas due to infrastructure damage and limited coordination. In addition, the mismatch between the government's official narrative and the conditions on the ground has an impact on declining public trust. On the other hand, the resilience of local communities plays a key role as a buffer in the early phases of disasters through self-evacuation initiatives and community solidarity. This study concludes that the effectiveness of local government responses in flood management is influenced by regional access factors, disaster management governance, and the quality of crisis communication. Strengthening cross-agency coordination, empathetic communication strategies, and integrating the role of local communities are the main recommendations to improve disaster management in the future.
Dafit Hidayat, Nur Fitriani Wulandari, Aldila Hisyam Hasrudin, Ovalia Rukmana Copyright (c) 2026 Dafit Hidayat, Nur Fitriani Wulandari, Aldila Hisyam Hasrudin, Ovalia Rukmana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2193 Wed, 14 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Delayed Presentation of Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans in a Rural Healthcare Facility: A Case Report https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2168
Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) represents one of the rarest forms of soft tissue tumors, with an annual occurrence estimated at only 0.008 to 0.045 cases per 100,000 individuals. This rare, slow-growing but locally aggressive skin sarcoma often presents with subtle clinical features, leading to delayed diagnosis and management, particularly in resource-limited settings. In this report, we describe a case of DFSP that presented to a rural healthcare facility with delayed presentation. A 37-year-old woman was referred to the general surgery clinic with an enlarging lump in the calf of her left leg that had been present for the past 20 years. The lump had gradually increased in size and was initially painless. One month prior to hospitalization, the lesion became frequently painful, bled intermittently, and discharged pus. A wide excisional biopsy was performed, and the specimen was sent for histopathological analysis. The conclusion of the histopathological analysis was consistent with DFSP. This case highlights the diagnostic challenges of DFSP in resource-limited settings, where limited access to specialized diagnostic services, lack of awareness among primary healthcare providers, and financial constraints contribute to diagnostic delays. A long-standing lesion remained indolent before progressing to symptomatic disease, emphasizing the need for increased clinical vigilance in rural healthcare facilities. Early recognition and appropriate management are essential to improve patient outcomes.
Jeffrey, Giri Yurista Copyright (c) 2026 Jeffrey, Giri Yurista https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2168 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Relationship Between E-Cigarette Use and Propylene Glycol Content in Males Aged 17–25 Years with the FEV1 and FVC Ratios in Relation to COPD in South Jakarta and its Analysis from an Islamic Perspective https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2188
E-cigarettes are widely used among young adults, with propylene glycol (PG) as a common component.
