Previous research indicates that the two traditions share the use of reason as an epistemic instrument, yet differ significantly in their sources of truth, methodological foundations, and philosophical orientations. This research employs a library-based method with a philosophical-descriptive approach to examine the ideas of key thinkers from both traditions. The findings reveal that Western rationalism grounds truth in the autonomy of human reason through deductive methods, methodological skepticism, and the coherence theory of truth. In contrast, Islamic rationalism integrates reason with divine revelation, particularly in interpreting theological and metaphysical realities. These distinctions influence the development of scientific thought, the structure of epistemology, and ethical orientations within each civilization. This study concludes that Islamic rationalism is characterized by a theocentric-integrative framework, whereas Western rationalism tends to be anthropocentric and secular. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the discourse on comparative epistemology and provide a foundation for further studies on the integration of knowledge.
Nurizka Hasanah Harahap, Achmad Khudori Soleh Copyright (c) 2025 Nurizka Hasanah Harahap, Achmad Khudori Soleh https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2121 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Relevance of Earnings and Cash Flow Information to Stock Prices on The Indonesia Stock Exchange https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2143
This study aims to analyze the relevance of the value of profit and cash flow information to the stock price of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Profit and cash flow are two main indicators in assessing a company's performance, so it has the potential to influence investment decisions. The research uses secondary data in the form of financial statements and annual stock prices. The sample was selected through purposive sampling with the criteria of companies that consistently publish complete financial statements during the observation period. The analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to test the influence of profit and cash flow on stock prices. The results show that earnings have a significant influence on stock prices, while cash flows show weak influence. This finding confirms that investors on the IDX are more focused on profit information in making investment decisions. This research contributes to the literature on value relevance and provides practical implications for companies in improving the quality of financial reporting.
Antonio Vivaldy, Kautsar Adam Copyright (c) 2025 Antonio Vivaldy, Kautsar Adam https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2143 Thu, 18 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Visual Storytelling on The @Infosvipb Instagram Account as A Social Bridge for Digital Communication and Media Students https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2140
Visual storytelling is a method of conveying messages through structured visuals elements that enhance audience engagement. Addressing the longstanding reproducibility crisis caused by dependency complexity, environment drift, and inconsistent execution conditions, the study demonstrates how Docker’s isolation, environment parity, and version-controlled images enable consistent replication of computational results across diverse systems. Through an analysis of Dockerfile architecture, best practices, and a complete example workflow for training and deploying a machine learning model, the paper illustrates how containerization provides transparent, traceable, and immutable research environments. The findings show that Docker not only simplifies development workflows but also enhances scientific reliability, accelerates experimentation, and supports collaborative, cross-platform AI development, making it an essential infrastructure for modern deterministic science.
Rini Deviani Copyright (c) 2025 Rini Deviani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2166 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Benson Relaxation Therapy on Anxiety of Preoperative Patients in the IBS Room of Karanganyar Hospital https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2134
Surgery or surgical procedure is a medical procedure performed on the body to improve physical function. High workload and complex cases often lead to work-related stress that affects both the quality of nursing care and nurse well-being. This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload and stress levels among ED nurses through a systematic literature review. The review included 10 research journals published within the last five years that used quantitative or mixed-method designs and focused on ED nurses in hospital settings. Data were analyzed descriptively with critical appraisal to assess article quality and relevance. Findings show that ED nurse workload varies, with light workload ranging from 15.9%–68.8%, moderate workload 17.5%–69.7%, and heavy workload 0%–60%. A significant relationship was identified between workload and work stress. High workload, including large patient volumes, high task intensity, and case complexity, increases physical and psychological pressure on nurses, triggering stress. Workload is influenced by internal factors (gender, age, education, length of service) and external factors (patient numbers, nurse–patient ratio, work systems, facilities). Productive and non-productive nursing activities also contribute. The study concludes that workload significantly affects ED nurse stress. Hospitals must balance workload with nurses’ abilities, while nurses require adequate skills to manage emergency care demands.
Anjayani Wuri Triyanti, Marcella Marcella, Satriya Pranata, Fatkhul Mubin Copyright (c) 2025 Anjayani Wuri Triyanti, Marcella Marcella, Satriya Pranata, Fatkhul Mubin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2130 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Company Operation Complexity, Audit Committee, and Audit Quality on Audit Report Lag with Board Gender Diversity as A Moderating Variable https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2156
This study was conducted to analyze the effect of the complexity of company operations, audit committees, and audit quality on audit report lag, with gender diversity in the board of directors as a moderating variable for coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2021 and 2023. The audit reporting lag is the time between the end of the fiscal year and the issuance of the audit report. The timely submission of audited financial accounts is critical because it influences the quality of financial information and stakeholders' economic decision-making. The sample for this study consisted of 26 coal mining sub-sector enterprises. STATA 17 was used for the study, with the Random Effect Model (REM) applied. Audit report lag was found to be unaffected by the complexity of corporate operations or audit committees, whereas audit quality had a negative impact. Meanwhile, gender diversity on the board has not been shown to mitigate the relationship between the complexity of corporate operations, audit committees, and audit quality, which affects audit delays. These findings provide significant contributions to corporate governance and our knowledge of the causes of audit report latency.
Dzaky Iqbal, Danang Mintoyuwono Copyright (c) 2025 Dzaky Iqbal, Danang Mintoyuwono https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2156 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Save the Last for the Best: The Halo Effect and the Impact of Last Experience on Judgment https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2126

Early adulthood is a developmental stage characterized by increased autonomy, where individuals actively make independent decisions and explore various choices to gain experience. College students, as part of this stage, often utilize opportunities to evaluate products and experiences that may shape their preferences and judgments. One psychological phenomenon related to decision-making is the end experience effect, which suggests that the final part of an experience can disproportionately influence overall evaluations, potentially leading to a positivity bias. This study aimed to examine the effect of end experience on individual assessments of chocolate consumption among college students, specifically investigating whether end experience influences positivity bias. The hypothesis proposed that participants exposed to a more positive end experience would demonstrate higher positivity bias in their evaluations. The study employed an experimental posttest-only design with nonequivalent groups, consisting of an experimental group and a control group. A total of 24 participants (12 male and 12 female), aged 19–24 years, were involved in the study. Data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test to compare the assessment outcomes between groups. The results indicated that there was no significant effect of end experience on positivity bias among students (t = −0.801, p = 0.432). These findings suggest that, within this context, end experience alone may not be sufficient to shape evaluative bias in early adulthood. One example of an intersection that is the focus of research is a non-signalized three-way intersection on Taman Asri main road in Sidoarjo Regency with a three-arm intersection type, one direction with 2 lanes, two directions with 4 lanes and a median (324M) located on Taman Asri Main Road, Wadung Asri Road, and Rungkut Mananggal Road. This study aims to analyze vehicle traffic volume, traffic flow capacity, and the performance of the unsignalized three-way intersection on Taman Asri Highway in Sidoarjo Regency using the PKJI (Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines) method to calculate capacity, degree of saturation, and average delay. The data used include road geometric conditions, traffic volume, capacity, and degree of saturation. Data were collected through field surveys. From the analysis of the research results, the highest traffic volume at the unsignalized intersection on the Taman Asri-Tambak Rejo road segment occurred on Friday afternoon at 4042 vehicles/hour, while the lowest traffic volume occurred on Tuesday noon at 2085 vehicles/hour. The highest capacity was on Monday afternoon at 4391 vehicles/hour with a traffic volume of 3784 vehicles/hour. Meanwhile, the lowest capacity was on Saturday noon at 3649 vehicles/hour with a traffic volume of 2495 vehicles/hour. As for the performance of the unsignalized intersection on the Taman Asri-Tambak Rejo road segment with a type 324 intersection, the peak congestion occurred on Friday afternoon, with a degree of saturation of 0.95, queue probability of 36-72, and a delay of 17.10 seconds; however, this unsignalized intersection is still considered to be in good condition, However the saturation level exceeds the maximum limit, as can be seen from the saturation level reaching 0.95, which exceeds the daily saturation value of 0.85 according to the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI).
Nanda Tanarubun, Nurani Hartatik, Mochammad Firmansyah Copyright (c) 2025 Nanda Tanarubun, Nurani Hartatik, Mochammad Firmansyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2152 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Improving Communication Accessibility to Public Safety Center 119 Through Integrated Simulation https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2124
Emergencies caused by disasters, accidents, and diseases carry risks ranging from disability to death. Rapid emergency assistance is essential to mitigate these risks, with first responders playing a vital role. The Public Safety Center (PSC) 119 serves as a key access point for emergency response, yet public awareness and understanding of how to access it remain limited, particularly among heterogeneous communities. Integrated simulation has emerged as a promising strategy to improve communication accessibility to emergency services. This research aims to analyze the improvement of communication accessibility to Public Safety Center 119 through integrated simulation. The research employed an experimental design with a pretest-posttest model. A total of 217 participants from the general public in Surakarta City, including members of the Volunteer Corps, health cadres, and neighborhood security (Linmas), were involved. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed via t-test. Statistical analysis revealed a significant increase in communication accessibility scores following the integrated simulation, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00. It uses a normative legal method with a legislative, conceptual, comparative (Australia-EU), and triangulation approach based on Rawls' theory, Lex Specialis (Manan), and Suzor through qualitative literature study. The results show that Presidential Regulation 32/2024 as a legitimate lex specialis operationalizes publisher rights via distribution priority (Article 5), revenue sharing of Rp105 trillion (Article 7), and the Press Council oversight committee (Articles 9-17), revolutionizing platform capitalism into collaborative co-regulation. The novelty of this research lies in the first Rawls-Lex Specialis-Suzor triangulation analyzing Presidential Regulation No. 32/2024 as Indonesia's digital constitutionalism, filling the gap in conventional copyright literature on algorithmic governance.
Erwin Dede Nugroho, Juwita Juwita Copyright (c) 2025 Erwin Dede Nugroho, Juwita Juwita https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2146 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Applied Research on Community Empowerment of Teaching Derivational and Inflectional Morphemes to Pondok An Nahdloh, Selangor, Malaysia https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2122
This community service initiative took place at Pondok An Nahdloh, an Islamic boarding institution in Selangor, Malaysia, particularly serving the educational requirements of children of Indonesian migrant workers. Despite the integration of religious and general language training, students encounter difficulties in acquiring derivational and inflectional morphemes due to linguistic interference, inconsistent pedagogical approaches, and restricted access to resources. One of the most common metabolic complications is diabetes mellitus (DM). The emergence of DM allegedly caused by damage of pancreatic β cells due to accumulation of Fe post-transfusion as well as longterm steroid treatment during the patient's care. This case reported a 41-year-old male patient with steroid-resistant aplastic anemia since 8 years ago, exceeding iron, and moderate malnutrition with hypoalbuminemia. He routinely received red blood cell transfusions and steroid therapy. Since 3 months ago the patient felt classic DM symtomps. Initial laboratory examination found there were normochromic normocytic anemia and thrombocytopenia. Hyperglycemia, hypoalbuminemia, high glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) levels, and normal glycated albumin (GA) levels were also obtained. Patient was diagnosed with DM. He was treated with medical nutrition therapy, red blood cell transfusion, human albumin transfusion, insulin, and his blood glucose were monitored regularly. Monitoring of glycemic control in DM patients is essential since DM is a chronic disease. In this case, the patient’s glycemic control assessment was using a combination of several methods and biomarkers, such as HbA1C, GA, and eAG (fasting glucose and post prandial glucose).
Putu Gizha Satrya Gautama M, Made Ratna Saraswati Copyright (c) 2025 Putu Gizha Satrya Gautama M, Made Ratna Saraswati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2075 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Product Quality, Price, and Service on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty at Goodtry Burger Outlets Using SEM-PLS https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2142
This study aims to examine the influence of product quality, price, and service on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty at GOODTRY burger outlets using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). These speeches, often delivered during crucial political transitions, serve as rhetorical frameworks where leaders communicate their vision, moral stance, and governing philosophy to both domestic and international audiences. Focusing on four English-language inaugural addresses from Southeast Asia (the Philippines and Singapore) and Southern Africa (South Africa and Zambia), this research applies comparative thematic analysis to identify common and contrasting ideological patterns in postcolonial and developmental-state contexts. Using Braun and Clarke’s (2006) six-phase model, the study identifies and interprets recurring themes that show how leaders employ language to establish legitimacy, unity, and moral authority. Reliability was confirmed using Cohen’s Kappa (κ = 0.851), indicating a high level of analytical consistency. Findings reveal that while all leaders use optimistic, future-oriented rhetoric emphasizing progress and inclusivity, their underlying value systems differ. Southeast Asian leaders tend to focus on pragmatic governance, economic development, and institutional continuity, whereas Southern African leaders center their messages on moral renewal, democracy, and resilience, reflecting their nations’ liberation histories. The study contributes to discourse research by showing how political leaders in non-Western contexts use language as a tool for reproducing ideology and shaping collective identity.
Salila Prasidya Hidayati Copyright (c) 2025 Salila Prasidya Hidayati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2159 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of the Customs Supervision System in the Batam Free Trade Zone https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2127
This study examines the weaknesses of the customs supervision system in the Batam Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and its implications for Indonesia’s domestic market. As a free trade area with a high volume of imported goods, Batam FTZ contains structural vulnerabilities that may be exploited for smuggling and the evasion of fiscal obligations. Using a qualitative approach, this research draws on interviews with customs officers, business operators, and customs service providers, complemented by a literature review to identify risk factors and supervisory gaps. The findings indicate that shortcomings in the supervision system stem from limited human resources, inadequate inter-agency data integration, the use of small and difficult-to-monitor ports, and significant information asymmetry between authorities and economic actors. These gaps contribute to increased risks of fiscal leakage and the circulation of unmonitored goods in the domestic market, which can disrupt price stability and fair competition. The study concludes that customs supervision in the Batam FTZ remains suboptimal and requires strengthened institutional capacity, enhanced internal controls, and the development of real-time, technology-based monitoring systems to reduce violations and maintain domestic market stability.
Aisya Nareswari, Nurhadi Susanto Copyright (c) 2025 Aisya Nareswari, Nurhadi Susanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2127 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Difference in Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (EGFR) Between Controlled and Uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients at Pasar Rebo General Hospital, Jakarta https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2154
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a metabolic disease that can lead to complications such as diabetic nephropathy, characterized by a decline in renal filtration function. This study adopts a quantitative approach with analytical methods and uses secondary data taken from 73 promotional posts taken by purposive sampling from the Instagram account during the period from January to March 2025. The Promotion Depth variable was measured based on the amount of discount offered in each post, while Promotion Breadth was measured based on the number of product categories promoted in each post. Distant Sharing was measured by examining the level of audience engagement in sharing promotional posts on their social networks. Meanwhile, Social Closeness was measured through social attributes in promotional content, such as cultural elements or personal closeness in the way promotions were delivered. The results show that Promotion Depth has a significant negative effect on Distant Sharing, meaning that the greater the discount offered, the less likely the audience is to share promotional content on their social networks. Conversely, Promotion Breadth does not have a significant effect on Distant Sharing, indicating that even though the promotion covers many product categories, this is not enough to encourage the audience to share information more widely. Furthermore, Social Closeness does not moderate the relationship between Promotion Depth and Distant Sharing, nor between Promotion Breadth and Distant Sharing, indicating that social factors are not strong enough to influence the audience's sharing behavior in the context of digital promotion. These findings provide insight for marketers on how the depth and breadth of promotion can influence information sharing behavior on social media and the importance of understanding the social factors that play a role in the process.
Nolan Keane Simon Setiawan, Suliyanto Suliyanto Copyright (c) 2025 Nolan Keane Simon Setiawan, Suliyanto Suliyanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2125 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Adjunctive Corticosteroids for Pediatric Parapneumonic Effusion and Empyema: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Trials https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2148

Parapneumonic effusion and empyema are significant causes of morbidity in pediatric pneumonia, driven by an intense pleural inflammatory response. While corticosteroids have been suggested to modulate this inflammation and speed up recovery, evidence regarding their use in pleural complications in children remains limited. This study aims to assess the efficacy of adjunctive corticosteroid therapy in improving clinical outcomes among children hospitalized with parapneumonic effusion or empyema. A systematic search of PubMed, Cochrane Library, and ScienceDirect was conducted from inception to November 2025. Eligible studies included randomized or comparative cohort designs evaluating systemic or intrapleural corticosteroids alongside standard care in pediatric parapneumonic effusion. The primary outcome was length of hospital stay. Three randomized trials were included in the quantitative synthesis, and one observational cohort was analyzed qualitatively. A fixed-effect model was used due to minimal heterogeneity. Among 167 randomized participants, adjunctive corticosteroid therapy significantly reduced hospital stay (mean difference –2.96 days; 95% CI –4.57 to –1.36). Qualitative analysis showed consistent improvements in fever resolution, radiologic recovery, and inflammatory markers, especially when corticosteroids were given early. The observational cohort with delayed rescue steroids showed no improvement, emphasizing the importance of timing. These findings support early corticosteroid use, consistent with the pathophysiology of pleural inflammation. While variations in steroid regimens and sample sizes should be considered, the consistent benefits strengthen the evidence. Early corticosteroid therapy accelerates recovery and shortens hospitalization in pediatric parapneumonic effusion or empyema, making it a safe and effective complement to standard care.

Putu Bagus Ananta Yuktasya, Nia Pradnya Dewanti, Muhammad Ashhabul Kahfi Mathar Copyright (c) 2025 Putu Bagus Ananta Yuktasya, Nia Pradnya Dewanti, Muhammad Ashhabul Kahfi Mathar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2148 Tue, 23 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Regional Financial Independence and Population Size on Regional Production Capacity and Community Welfare in West Kalimantan Province https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2123
This study examines the influence of regional financial independence and population quantity on regional production capacity and community welfare in West Kalimantan Province. Using a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), panel data from 14 districts/cities during the 2015–2024 period were analyzed. Regional financial independence was measured through the degree of fiscal decentralization, degree of regional dependence, and ratio of fiscal independence. Population quantity was assessed using population density, labor force participation rate, and dependency ratio. Regional production capacity was represented by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP), while community welfare was measured by the Human Development Index (HDI). The results indicate that regional financial independence significantly affects both regional production capacity (t-stat = 2.163, p = 0.031) and community welfare (t-stat = 13.019, p = 0.000). Population quantity also shows significant effects on production capacity (t-stat = 2.989, p = 0.003) and welfare (t-stat = 3.923, p = 0.000). Furthermore, regional production capacity significantly influences community welfare (t-stat = 2.154, p = 0.031). The mediation analysis reveals that production capacity successfully mediates the relationship between population quantity and community welfare (t-stat = 2.668, p = 0.008), but does not mediate the relationship between regional financial independence and welfare (t-stat = 1.738, p = 0.082). The model demonstrates strong predictive relevance with an R-square value of 81.0% for community welfare and a Q-square value of 89.9%. These findings emphasize that strengthening fiscal independence and optimizing demographic potential through enhanced production capacity are crucial strategies for improving community welfare in West Kalimantan Province.
Desmi Sutami Copyright (c) 2025 Desmi Sutami https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2123 Sat, 27 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Role of Influencers in Promoting Transparency and Public Participation in Flood Management Through The #Wargabantuwarga Hashtag Movement https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2145
Flood disasters constitute a major public issue that requires rapid, transparent, and participatory responses.
