Jenderal Achmad Yani University utilizes Instagram as a promotional tool by displaying various information related to study programs, registration schedules, campus facilities, and student activities in engaging and engaging visual content. In addition to content quality, user engagement, such as the number of likes, comments, and other interactions, is also a key indicator in measuring the effectiveness of the promotion. This study used a quantitative approach through a survey of prospective students and followers of the official Universitas Achmad Yani Instagram account. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the influence of new student admissions content and engagement on university admission intentions. The results showed that both content and engagement on Instagram significantly influenced prospective students' interest in applying to Jenderal Achmad Yani University. These findings underscore the crucial role of social media in shaping the image and attractiveness of higher education institutions. A consistent and interactive digital promotional strategy can help universities reach their target audience more effectively and increase new student enrollment intentions.
Very Verdyanto Tambunan Sigit Anggoro Irma Santikarama Copyright (c) 2025 Very Verdyanto Tambunan, Sigit Anggoro, Irma Santikarama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 6 10 3084 3094 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1902 Strengthening Strategies For Preventing Drug Abuse In Adolescents And Youth: A Holistic And Comprehensive Approach Based On Social Environment Interventions https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2044
The stagnation of the prevalence of drug abuse among adolescents and youth in Indonesia is a strategic issue that deserves serious attention, especially in the midst of the momentum of the demographic bonus towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. This phenomenon has the potential to have multidimensional impacts, ranging from a decrease in the quality of human resources, a decrease in productivity, to an inhibition of national competitiveness. The analysis shows that the main problem lies in the high risk behaviors among adolescents and youth—such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and nighttime activities—which are rooted in weak self-regulation skills due to a lack of social environmental support. This condition creates a recurrent vulnerability that maintains a stagnation in the prevalence of drug abuse in this age group. Meanwhile, policy support has been available through various instruments, such as the P4GN National Action Plan, Guidance and Counseling services in schools, Youth Care Health Services (PKPR), and the Generation Planning (GenRe) program. However, the effectiveness of the program is still limited because it has not touched the root of vulnerability thoroughly; Preventive interventions for adolescents and youth are fragmented and poorly coordinated, so the impact is not optimal. Therefore, this paper was prepared with the aim of formulating comprehensive and holistic prevention policy recommendations, based on a multi-level approach of social ecology, to significantly reduce the prevalence of drug abuse in adolescents and youth and build the foundation of sustainable prevention.
Hidayat Adi Muhammad Copyright (c) 2025 Hidayat Adi Muhammad https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-22 2025-10-22 6 10 3276 3293 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2044 The Effect of Profitability, Tunneling Incentive, Good Corporate Governance, and Intangible Assets on Transfer Pricing in Companies in the Basic Materials Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021 – 2023 https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/1888
Transfer pricing is a strategy employed by companies to shift tax burdens, particularly among entities with special relationships. Although legally permissible when conducted in accordance with the arm’s length principle and business norms, this practice is often misused as a means of tax avoidance, potentially reducing state revenue. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, tunneling incentive, good corporate governance, and intangible assets on transfer pricing in basic materials sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021–2023. This research utilizes secondary data obtained from the annual reports of 113 companies, with purposive sampling applied to select 82 companies as the research sample. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 27. The results reveal that profitability and tunneling incentive have a significant negative effect on transfer pricing, while good corporate governance has a significant positive effect. In contrast, intangible assets show no significant effect on transfer pricing. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening corporate governance and monitoring transfer pricing practices to prevent misuse that could harm state revenue.
Michelle Beatrice Yulia Setyarini Copyright (c) 2025 Michelle Beatrice, Yulia Setyarini https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 6 10 3106 3117 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1888 The Effect Of Job Training And Work Motivation On Employee Performance At Pt Surya Nusantara Sentosa In The Jabodetabek And West Java Regions https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2074
This study aims to determine the influence of training and work motivation on the performance of employees of PT. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from government institutions such as the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), and the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The data collected from 2019 to 2024 were analyzed using contribution analysis and linear trend projection (least square method) to evaluate the role of regional taxes in supporting fiscal independence. The findings indicate that although Bontang City has several tax bases—such as hotel tax, restaurant tax, entertainment tax, and land and building tax (PBB-P2)—their contribution to PAD has fluctuated and has not reached an optimal level. The projection results show the potential for increasing tax contributions in the coming years, provided that the local government implements more effective intensification and extensification strategies. This study provides theoretical contributions to the development of public finance literature and offers practical implications for policymakers in optimizing local tax revenues to strengthen fiscal independence and improve public services in the era of decentralization.
Hermansyah Hermansyah Juliansyah Roy Rahcmad Budi Suharto Copyright (c) 2025 Hermansyah Hermansyah, Juliansyah Roy, Rachmat Budi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-18 2025-10-18 6 10 3245 3275 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2042 Is Hermeneutics Necessary for Reading the Quran Today? https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2072
The debate over hermeneutics in Quranic studies remains a central discourse among contemporary Muslim academics. Hermeneutics is considered capable of bridging the revealed text with modern social realities, but at the same time has the potential to give rise to relativism of meaning and shift the authority of revelation. This study aims to weigh the potential and risks of hermeneutics in the study of interpretation and to offer a middle ground formulation called bounded hermeneutics . This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, examining the main works of Abdullah Saeed, Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, Amina Wadud, as well as the thoughts of Indonesian scholars such as Sahiron Syamsuddin, Quraish Shihab, and Abdurrahman Wahid. The analysis results show that hermeneutics contributes to presenting interpretations that are contextual and responsive to contemporary issues such as gender, human rights, and pluralism. However, this approach also has epistemological and social weaknesses when applied without limits. Through a synthesis between the principles of maqāṣid al- sharī'ah , the discipline of ushul al-tafsir , and the contextual sensitivity of hermeneutics, this research offers awake hermeneutics as a model of moderate interpretation that is relevant to the dynamics of the times but still maintains the sanctity of the divine text.
Akhmad Luthfi Mubarok Copyright (c) 2025 Akhmad Luthfi Mubarok https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-30 2025-10-30 6 10 3411 3420 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2072 The Role of the Church in Public Policy Advocacy https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2037
The growing complexity of social, political, and economic challenges—such as inequality, corruption, environmental degradation, and human rights violations—demands the active involvement of religious institutions in public policy discourse. Historically, churches have played key roles in justice movements, from civil rights to anti-apartheid struggles. In Indonesia, with its diverse religious context, the Church encounters both opportunities and constraints in exercising its prophetic role within governance. This study explores the theological foundations, opportunities, and challenges shaping the Church’s engagement. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, it synthesizes theological literature, policy analyses, and observations of church involvement in advocacy. Findings indicate that the Church’s potential for influence rests on four pillars: (1) moral authority grounded in biblical mandates for justice (Micah 6:8; Isaiah 1:17); (2) wide social networks enabling community mobilization; (3) the capacity for prophetic critique of unjust structures; and (4) partnerships with civil society and government institutions. Yet, advocacy effectiveness is constrained by political instrumentalization risks, the challenge of operating within religious pluralism, and the difficulty of translating moral rhetoric into transformative action. The study concludes that the Church’s theological commitment to justice, compassion, and human dignity, together with its organizational capacity, positions it as a vital moral force for promoting equitable public policies. Strengthening theological education, coalition-building, and sustained participation in policy processes is essential for enhancing its prophetic and participatory role in governance.
Yesaya Paskalis Immanuel Tuhepary Copyright (c) 2025 Yesaya Paskalis Immanuel Tuhepary https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-13 2025-10-13 6 10 3151 3158 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2037 Naval Defense Strategy for Naval Base Resilience Through Spectromar Maritime Surveillance Utilization https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2069
This research aims to formulate an effective maritime defense strategy in increasing the resilience of the Indonesian Navy base through the use of SpectroMar Maritime Surveillance technology. The background of this research is based on the complexity of maritime threats that continue to grow and the limitations of conventional surveillance systems. It adopts a normative juridical approach with qualitative legal analysis to assess the extent to which Myanmar’s authorities meet the legal elements of genocide under the Convention and the scope of state responsibility in preventing and punishing such crimes. Through doctrinal interpretation and comparative jurisprudence from the ICJ, ICTR, and ICTY, the study clarifies normative accountability mechanisms in contemporary genocide cases. The Rohingya crisis demonstrates systematic violations of fundamental human rights, including mass killings, forced displacement, and denial of citizenship, revealing structural persecution and potential genocidal intent. The study emphasizes that state responsibility for genocide is erga omnes, binding upon the entire international community, thus allowing other states to demand accountability even when not directly affected. The case brought by The Gambia against Myanmar before the International Court of Justice highlights the critical role of international judicial mechanisms in enforcing state obligations under the Genocide Convention. However, political barriers, particularly within the UN Security Council, often impede the effective implementation of international norms. The paper concludes that Myanmar’s conduct toward the Rohingya aligns with the elements of genocide as defined by international law and underscores the necessity of strengthening enforcement mechanisms to ensure justice and prevent future atrocities.
Marudut Parulian Silitonga Rachmat Abdillah Copyright (c) 2025 Marudut Parulian Silitonga, Rachmat Abdillah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-13 2025-10-13 6 10 3159 3167 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2021 The Relationship between Knowledge Management and Compensation and Employee Performance at the Regional Revenue Management Agency of Morowali Regency https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2067
One of the factors that affect performance is knowledge management and compensation. This case report details the management of a patient with severe preeclampsia, highlighting the challenge of a progressive hemoglobin drop without thrombocytopenia. The report aims to describe the clinical presentation, diagnostic approach, and management of a term pregnancy complicated by severe preeclampsia and a suspected concurrent urinary tract infection. A case study was conducted on a 23-year-old woman, G2P1A0, at 39 weeks’ gestation, who presented in the active phase of labor with hypertension and bleeding. Data were collected through clinical examination, laboratory tests, and monitoring of the implemented treatment regimen. The patient was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia based on hypertension (160/100 mmHg) and proteinuria (2+). Laboratory findings revealed a significant drop in hemoglobin (from 11.4 g/dL to 8.2 g/dL) with normal platelet counts, ruling out HELLP syndrome, alongside leukocytosis and nitrite positivity suggesting a urinary tract infection. Management with a combination of magnesium sulfate, nifedipine, oxytocin, and antibiotics successfully stabilized maternal hemodynamics. This case underscores the importance of vigilant monitoring for atypical presentations such as progressive anemia in preeclampsia and affirms the effectiveness of a combined MgSO₄–nifedipine regimen, alongside infection control and timely delivery, in managing severe preeclampsia at term.
Alfaniah Aufa Shidqi Al Widad Budi Susetyo Fadil Hidayat Copyright (c) 2025 Alfaniah Aufa Shidqi Al Widad, Budi Susetyo, Fadil Hidayat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-13 2025-10-13 6 10 3138 3150 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1963 Target Costing in an Effort to Increase Profits https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2065
Target Costing is a strategic approach in cost management that begins with determining the selling price of a product based on market conditions and consumer preferences, then setting the expected profit, and from there determining the maximum cost allowed to produce the product. This is very good for companies to implement so that companies can manage costs well and achieve company profits. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of implementing target costing in an effort to increase company profits. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that the calculation of target costing at Mazdar Collection can increase company profits by 27%, including 39% from jacket sales and 26% from sales of almamater uniforms. This research was conducted using the PLS-SEM method with the SmartPLS 4.0 program. This study applied a quantitative research design with a survey approach. The number of respondents in this research was 100. The research variables included motivation (X1), work environment (X2), work discipline (Z), and employee performance (Y). The results of this research show that motivation has no significant effect on employee performance, while the work environment has a significant effect on employee performance. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, work discipline does not play a mediating role in the relationship between work motivation and employee performance, although it has been proven to be a partial mediating variable in the relationship between work environment and employee performance. This study highlights the practical importance of creating a supportive work environment and enforcing discipline policies to sustain performance improvements in the banking sector. The findings suggest that management should prioritize environmental interventions over motivation-based strategies alone. Future research should expand across multiple branches and incorporate objective performance metrics to validate these findings and explore additional mediating variables that may influence the motivation–performance relationship.
Mario Alexander Halim Hendratmoko Hendratmoko Copyright (c) 2025 Mario Alexander Halim, Hendratmoko Hendratmoko https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-24 2025-10-24 6 10 3325 3344 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1916 Analysis Of The Usefulness Of E-Commerce Payment Features In The Potential Shopping Ability Of Society https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2058
Payment is a final process which is a sign of the agreement that a transaction has been successfully carried out and there is an agreement. In this study related to the discussion of payment variation mechanisms will be discussed on functions in e-commerce. Payment features are many features and are highly expected by consumers because the choice of payment features will provide consumers with many options when completing a transaction coupled with the potential for cash banks and installment mechanisms provided by the platform. Payment variations are a mechanism that must be implemented by e-commerce in collaboration with payment service providers. From research conducted using the SWOT and Balance Scorecard methods, it can be found that with variations in payment, especially for bank installment mechanisms, it automatically increases people's spending ability for transactions with a large scope where e-commerce transactions tend to be mostly filled with transactions. retail with a nominal value that is not so large. Purchasing power and public spending potential with this variation also indirectly increases where the resulting research is at point 4 to 5 of the survey conducted. So that from all this it can be concluded that the more a variety of payments provided by the platform, the greater the potential to increase the ability and attractiveness of the public to make purchases because each community has different means of payment, indeed the potential is the same but there is a tendency for people in some small areas do not have access to a variety of banking services so that the presence of variety and the provision of these services will indirectly increase the purchasing potential of the public
Danny Ong Imron Imron M. These findings indicate that acupuncture is effective in relieving pain and improving mobility in patients with Adhesive Capsulitis. This research is expected to be a reference for the further development of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of similar conditions.
Rully Indra Purnama Leny Kurniawan Puspo Wardoyo Copyright (c) 2025 Rully Indra Purnama, Leny Kurniawan, Puspo Wardoyo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-16 2025-10-16 6 10 3129 3148 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1911 Revitalization Of Aksara Jawa As A Cultural Identity Through Contemporary Typography Design https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2056
The design of Javanese script in the blackletter style represents an exploration of typography that bridges local tradition with global aesthetics. By adapting key principles of blackletter such as bold vertical strokes, contrasting thick-and-thin modulation, and diamond-shaped serifs, the Javanese script undergoes a significant visual transformation. The results demonstrate a shift in character from curvilinear, fluid, and organic forms toward a more rigid, monumental, and Gothic expression. In terms of legibility, this adaptation presents challenges due to the condensed letter structure and narrowed counters; however, aesthetically, it introduces a new visual dialectic that enriches the field of typography. Beyond its function as a reading medium, this style also holds potential for application in contemporary graphic design, such as posters and book covers. Thus, the blackletter-inspired Javanese script can be positioned not only as an experimental typographic design affirming cultural identity, but also as a contribution to the revitalization of Javanese script in the contemporary era.
Yohanes Andri Hervian Yunanto Vinsensius Ipung Kristianto Copyright (c) 2025 Yohanes Andri Hervian Yunanto, Vinsensius Ipung Kristianto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-22 2025-10-22 6 10 3303 3316 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2056 Optimizing The Role Of Regional-Owned Enterprises: Corporate Governance As The Foundation For Regional Fiscal Independence https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/1909
Regionally-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) are positioned as strategic instruments to realize regional fiscal independence, but their performance in aggregate shows the gap between potential and reality. This study aims to analyze the root causes of suboptimal BUMD performance, focusing on governance failures as the main obstacle. Using a qualitative research method with a desk research approach, this study synthesizes data from institutional reports, scientific journals, and case studies. The results of the study show that the performance of BUMDs is structurally hampered by two fundamental problems: the paradox of dual mission between public service obligations and profitability targets, and acute accountability deficits. This deficit is manifested through systemic political interventions in leadership determination, patronage, and widespread conflicts of interest, leading to chronic inefficiencies and financial losses. It was concluded that the transformation of BUMD requires comprehensive governance reforms, including depoliticization of management, strengthening the regulatory framework through special laws, and professionalization of human resources to break the cycle of dependence on the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
Mohammad Irsyaad Rizky Ghozali Copyright (c) 2025 Mohammad Irsyaad Rizky Ghozali https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-09 2025-10-09 6 10 3118 3127 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1909 Russia’s Energy Sovereignty: Vladimir Putin’s Leadership Autarky and its Relevance to Indonesia’s National Defense https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2045
Russia's energy sovereignty under Vladimir Putin demonstrates how strategic resource control can serve as both a foundation for national defense and a tool for geopolitical influence. This study examines Putin's autarky leadership model—characterized by centralized energy governance, economic nationalism, and the integration of energy policy with military strategy and explores its relevance to Indonesia's defense modernization toward Golden Indonesia 2045. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with library research methodology, this study analyzes secondary data from government documents, defense white papers, and academic literature published between 2015-2025. The analysis reveals that Putin's leadership consolidates energy (oil and natural gas) as a dual instrument: funding defense modernization and enabling coercive diplomacy, particularly through pipeline projects like Nord Stream. This approach combines classical realism with economic nationalism to reduce external dependency and maintain strategic autonomy. For Indonesia, the study identifies critical lessons: the necessity of integrating energy independence with defense doctrine, developing a resource-based defense industry, and establishing ethical leadership frameworks rooted in Pancasila values. Key recommendations include: strengthening national energy policy as a defense asset, promoting local content in defense technology, designing an adaptive defense doctrine based on natural resource sovereignty, and building energy diplomacy to enhance Indo-Pacific stability. Unlike Russia's centralized autarky, Indonesia's model should emphasize collaborative sovereignty balancing national independence with democratic accountability, environmental sustainability, and social justice. This research contributes to strategic leadership literature by connecting energy geopolitics with defense philosophy in an ASEAN context.
Dadang Hermawan Prasetyo Pinandito Tarsisius Susilo Budi Saroso Benny Leonardo Limbong Copyright (c) 2025 Dadang Hermawan, Prasetyo Pinandito, Tarsisius Susilo, Budi Saroso, Benny Leonardo Limbong https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-16 2025-10-16 6 10 3218 3228 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2045 Segmentation Of Medical Check-Up (MCU) Results Using K-Means Clustering for Health Risk Profile Identification https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/1901
Medical Check-Up (MCU) is one of the methods of early detection of metabolic and cardiovascular disorders. Computational analysis of MCU results data can be used to group individuals based on their risk profiles, thereby supporting more targeted promotive and preventive strategies. This study aims to identify the segmentation of individual groups based on the clinical parameters of MCU results using the K-Means clustering method, as well as evaluate the potential of each cluster as a target for health interventions, especially in the context of positioning preventive products or services. This study used secondary data on MCU results which included 13 variables: age, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), total cholesterol, fasting blood sugar, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, urea, creatinine, uric acid, and gender from 294 sample data. The data was analyzed using the K-Means algorithm to group individuals based on the similarity of their health profiles. Cluster validation is carried out through clinical interpretation and the characteristics of each cluster center. From the results of the analysis, five clusters with different characteristics were produced. One of the prominent clusters is Cluster 2, consisting of middle-aged men (average 44 years old) with high levels of total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides, but blood pressure and blood sugar are still within normal limits. This condition indicates a moderate metabolic risk that is still reversible. This cluster is seen as strategic to be used as a target for the development of preventive health-based digital products and services. MCU outcome-based segmentation through the K-Means clustering method is effective in identifying specific health risk groups. Cluster 2 has great potential as the main target of preventive intervention programs because of its medical profile that can still be improved and psychographic characteristics that support acceptance of digital and promotional approaches
Syarifudin Syarifudin Era Pamadia Jerry Heikal Copyright (c) 2025 Syarifudin Syarifudin, Era Pamadia, Jerry Heikal https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 6 10 3075 3083 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1901 Records Management at the Amuntai Religious Court Class I-B Office, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2043
This study addresses critical deficiencies in human resources, archival systems, and infrastructure. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected from 12 purposively selected informants through interviews, observations, and documentation, validated via prolonged observation, persistent engagement, and triangulation. Findings reveal significant gaps in three dimensions: human resources (staff lack specialized archival education and training, resulting in limited professional competencies), systemic weaknesses (absence of formal procedures and inadequate facilities), and infrastructure constraints (insufficient storage space without climate control). Despite these challenges, functional strengths include relatively efficient storage systems using simplified classification, satisfactory service delivery, proper borrowing procedures with appropriate protocols, routine maintenance practices, and systematic destruction processes that prevent accumulation. However, critical deficiencies persist: archival personnel lack specialized credentials in archival science, have never received professional training, and work in severely constrained physical environments with narrow storage areas lacking air conditioning, which accelerates document deterioration. Root causes include the organizational undervaluation of archival expertise, insufficient resource allocation, and the absence of professional development frameworks. Recommendations include implementing structured archival training programs, establishing educational prerequisites for archival positions, formalizing standard operating procedures, investing in climate-controlled facilities, and elevating archival management as an institutional priority. These evidence-based interventions would enhance operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance under Law No. 43/2009, strengthen institutional memory preservation, and support ongoing judicial digitalization initiatives. Ultimately, these efforts would improve public sector accountability and service quality in Indonesia's religious court system.
Mahrini Mahrini Syarif Hidayatullah Sri Utami Nining Aprilia Copyright (c) 2025 Mahrini Mahrini, Syarif Hidayatullah, Sri Utami, Nining Aprilia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-23 2025-10-23 6 10 3317 3324 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2043 The Effect of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Return on Asset (ROA) on Profit Growth at PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul TBK for the 2013-2024 Period https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/1887
In increasingly fierce business competition, profit growth is a key indicator of company performance, influenced by various financial factors. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Return on Asset (ROA) on profit growth at PT Industri Jamu Dan Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk for the 2013–2024 PERIOD. The research method used is a quantitative approach, with secondary data obtained from the company’s financial statements. The study results indicate that the significance value of the Current Ratio is 0.817 > 0.05, and the calculated t-value is less than the t-table value (0.240 < 1.859), leading to the conclusion that the Current Ratio partially has no significant effect on Profit Growth. The Debt to Equity Ratio also shows no significant partial effect on Profit Growth, with a significance value of 0.790 > 0.05 and a calculated t-value less than the t-table (0.275 < 1.859). In contrast, the Return on Asset reveals a significance value of 0.040 < 0.05 and a calculated t-value greater than the t-table (2.445 > 1.859), indicating that Return on Asset partially has a positive and significant effect on Profit Growth. Furthermore, the combined values of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Return on Asset yield a significance value of 0.037 < 0.05 and an F-calculated value greater than the F-table (4.610 > 4.07). This demonstrates that, simultaneously, these three variables have a positive and significant effect on Profit Growth.
Zahra Qurana Sabila Akhmad Akbar Copyright (c) 2025 Zahra Qurana Sabila, Akhmad Akbar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-15 2025-10-15 6 10 3204 3217 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1887 Effect of Regional Revenue and Balancing Funds on Regional Independence Moderated by Capital Expenditure in East Kalimantan https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2073
This study aims to analyze the effect of Regional Revenue (PAD) and Balancing Funds on Regional Financial Independence, with Capital Expenditure as a moderating variable in districts and cities across East Kalimantan Province from 2019 to 2024. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative design, this research uses panel data derived from secondary sources, specifically the Regional Budget Realization Reports (LRA) published by BPKAD and DJPK. The analytical method applied is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) using SPSS version 22.0 to test both the direct and moderating effects among variables. The results indicate that Regional Revenue (PAD) has a positive and significant effect on regional financial independence, suggesting that higher PAD enhances local fiscal capacity. In contrast, Balancing Funds have a negative and significant impact, implying that greater reliance on central government transfers diminishes fiscal independence. Capital Expenditure functions as a dual moderator: it weakens the positive effect of PAD on regional independence but strengthens the impact of Balancing Funds on fiscal capacity when allocated effectively. The study recommends that local governments prioritize the expansion of PAD sources through more efficient tax and retribution management. Additionally, the effective and productivity-oriented allocation of capital expenditure should be emphasized to enhance long-term regional fiscal independence.
Kendro Warti Rahcmad Budi Suharto Juliansyah Roy Copyright (c) 2025 Kendro Warti, Rachmad Budi Suharto, Juliansyah Roy https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-27 2025-10-27 6 10 3380 3396 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2073 Comparative Analysis of Kakawin Sutasoma and The Short Story “Kepergian Sutasoma” By Gunawan Maryanto https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2040
This study compares Kakawin Sutasoma by Mpu Tantular with the short story "Kepergian Sutasoma" by Gunawan Maryanto, published in Koran Tempo on June 5, 2011. The background of this research is driven by the increasing frequency and complexity of cyberattacks against global and regional aviation systems, which threaten aviation safety and national sovereignty. Based on data from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO, 2023), cyberattacks in the aviation sector increased by 46% between 2020–2023, while the State Cyber and Cryptography Agency (BSSN, 2023) recorded more than 210 cyber incidents targeting Indonesia's air transportation system. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with two main theoretical foundations, namely George C. Edward III's policy implementation theory and Carl von Clausewitz's military strategy theory which is operationalized through SWOT-AHP analysis. The results of the study show that the implementation of cybersecurity policies in Indonesia's aviation sector still faces obstacles in terms of communication, resources, executive disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Factually, only 37% of national airport operators have cyber incident response teams (CSIRTs), while the digital security budget allocation is still below ICAO's recommendation of 2% of the total operational budget. A special finding from this study is the application of the concept of "Digital Universe War", which is the synergy of civilian, military, and technological forces in the national cyber defense system that is integrated with the ASEAN regional security ecosystem. Based on the SWOT-AHP results, the best priority strategy is the integration of national cybersecurity and aviation systems (weight 0.36), followed by increasing human resource capacity and strengthening regional cyber intelligence cooperation. This research contributes significantly to expanding the paradigm of universal warfare to the digital realm as a strategic instrument to maintain national aviation security and sovereignty in the cyber era.
Monika Anggreini Priyanto Priyanto Sulistyanto Sulistyanto Afrizal Hendra Almuchalif Suryo Copyright (c) 2025 Monika Anggreini, Priyanto Priyanto, Sulistyanto Sulistyanto, Afrizal Hendra, Almuchalif Suryo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-25 2025-10-25 6 10 3355 3365 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2070 The Relationship Between Parental Smartphone Use Duration and the Incidence of Stunting in Children in Medan City https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2025
Stunting remains a major public health problem in Indonesia, with multidimensional impacts ranging from impaired physical growth to reduced human capital quality. Socioeconomic status, parental education, and parenting practices are recognized determinants, but the role of digital behavior, particularly smartphone use, remains underexplored. This study aims to analyze the association between parental smartphone use duration and stunting among children in Medan City. An analytical observational study with a case-control design was conducted involving 124 respondents (62 cases, 62 controls) selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using sociodemographic questionnaires and the Smartphone Addiction Scale – Short Version (SAS-SV). Statistical analysis employed Chi-Square tests and Odds Ratio estimation. Most case respondents had a high school education (51.6%) and a family income of IDR 1,000,000–3,000,000 (64.5%), while control respondents were predominantly university graduates (88.7%) with incomes exceeding IDR 5,000,000 (54.8%). Smartphone addiction was more prevalent in the case group (71.0%) than in controls (21.0%). A significant association was found (p < 0.001), with OR = 9.214 (95% CI: 4.053–20.948). Excessive parental smartphone use is significantly associated with stunting in children, highlighting the need for preventive interventions that address digital behavior as an emerging risk factor.
Kevin Wutama Irza Haicha Pratama Qori Fadillah Indira Ade Mastura Copyright (c) 2025 Kevin Wutama, Irza Haicha Pratama, Qori Fadillah, Indira Ade Mastura https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-13 2025-10-13 6 10 3180 3192 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2025 Legal Protection for Auction Winners Regarding Objects of Encumbrance https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2068
After the payment for the auction object is made by the buyer to the auction seller, the purpose is to repay the debtor’s debt to the creditor. Air Tiris Village, located in Kampar District, has a predominantly Muslim population of approximately 6,873 residents. However, most Muslims in this village still have minimal understanding of Islamic banking principles, products, and services. This study aims to analyze public perception, awareness, and behavioral tendencies toward Islamic banks among residents of Air Tiris Village. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews with ten purposively selected respondents representing various occupations, and documentation. Thematic analysis was conducted following Miles and Huberman’s framework of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that while 70% of respondents are aware of the existence of Islamic banks, only 50% have utilized Islamic banking products, primarily savings and financing services. Limited knowledge about Islamic banking products, perceived operational complexity, and insufficient educational outreach contribute to a continued preference for conventional banks. Furthermore, 60% of respondents expressed uncertainty regarding the riba-free nature of Islamic banking contracts, reflecting persistent misconceptions. These findings underscore the critical need for enhanced financial literacy programs, targeted community education, and strategic marketing initiatives to improve public understanding and adoption of Islamic banking services in rural, Muslim-majority communities. Implications for policymakers, financial institutions, and religious educators are discussed.
Zafran Ibrahim Copyright (c) 2025 Zafran Ibrahim https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-13 2025-10-13 6 10 3129 3137 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2020 Karl Barth's Theology and Its Implications for Christian Ethics https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2066
This article examines Karl Barth's theology with a focus on the implications of that theology for modern Christian ethics. Indonesia ranks seventh globally, with 10.7 million people living with diabetes—figures expected to rise to 13.7 million by 2030 and 16.6 million by 2045. West Java Province ranks 18th nationally based on diagnoses in populations aged ≥15 years. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of type 2 diabetes mellitus education in prevention efforts. This study employed a quantitative descriptive design to assess the impact of T2DM education on prevention among 77 nutrition students at Tasikmalaya Polytechnic, selected using Slovin’s formula with a 5% margin of error. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered before and after the educational intervention, and analyzed using frequency distribution. Results revealed significant improvements in knowledge: prior to education, 53% of respondents demonstrated good knowledge, 44.1% adequate knowledge, and 2.9% poor knowledge. Following the intervention, 93.5% exhibited good knowledge, 6.5% adequate knowledge, and 0% poor knowledge—representing an increase of 31 respondents in the good knowledge category. The educational program was highly effective in enhancing students’ understanding of T2DM prevention. This improvement provides a vital foundation for fostering preventive health behaviors among future nutritionists, who will serve as health promoters in their communities. The findings offer implications for curriculum development, community health education initiatives, and long-term behavioral change strategies.
Jongga Adiyaksa Dewi Vimala Maheswari Adya Sasi Regita Rahmadina Copyright (c) 2025 Jongga Adiyaksa, Dewi Vimala, Maheswari Adya Sasi, Regita Rahmadina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-13 2025-10-13 6 10 3168 3179 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1935 The Role of the Prosecutor's Office in Promoting Restorative Justice for Social Reintegration and Prevention of Recidivism https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2063
This study examines the role of the Prosecutor’s Office in promoting the implementation of Restorative Justice as an effort to achieve social reintegration and prevent recidivism in Indonesia. The utilization of coal as an industrial fuel produces waste in the form of coal ash. The oxide composition of coal ash significantly influences the fusion temperature of the sample, which, in turn, affects the formation of slagging and fouling. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the oxide composition of coal ash and its effect on the ash fusion temperature (AFT), as well as to determine the slagging and fouling indices. In this study, coal ash was melted and subsequently analyzed for its oxide composition, tested for ash fusion temperature (AFT), and evaluated for slagging and fouling indices. The results showed that high SiO₂ content combined with low Al₂O₃, Fe₂O₃, CaO, and MgO contents tends to decrease the AFT value. However, when both SiO₂ and Al₂O₃ contents are high and Fe₂O₃, CaO, and MgO contents are low, the AFT tends to increase. Furthermore, if the Fe₂O₃, CaO, and MgO contents are slightly higher than those of SiO₂ and Al₂O₃, the AFT also tends to increase. The calculated slagging and fouling indices indicated that almost all samples fall within the high to very high categories. These findings provide practical guidance for coal-fired power plant operators in Indonesia to predict and mitigate ash-related operational challenges, particularly in boiler design optimization and fuel blending strategies to minimize slagging and fouling occurrences, thereby improving combustion efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
Muhammad Fat’hul Rozaq Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Fat’hul Rozaq https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-14 2025-10-14 6 10 3193 3203 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.1910 Interpersonal Communication of Vaporista With Consumers in Building Consumer Trust at AMW Vapestore Samarinda https://jiss.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jiss/article/view/2046
This qualitative study examines how interpersonal communication between vaporistas (vape shop frontline staff) and consumers builds trust at AMW Vapestore Samarinda, Indonesia. Using social penetration theory by Altman and Taylor (1973), the research explores five stages of relationship development: orientation, exploratory affective, affective, stable, and depenetration. Through in-depth interviews with vaporistas and regular customers who visited at least five times, findings reveal that trust building begins with simple conversations during the orientation stage, progresses through gradual self-disclosure and emotional expression, and culminates in stable relationships characterized by mutual openness and predictability. Vaporistas demonstrate customer service excellence by actively providing product information, showing empathy, and maintaining supportive attitudes. The study confirms that interpersonal communication significantly influences consumer trust, with successful relationships reaching the stable stage where personal connections transcend transactional interactions. However, conflicts can lead to relationship deterioration. The research contributes to understanding frontline communication strategies in the vape retail industry and provides practical implications for employee training and customer relationship management.
Nur Asih Silviana Purwanti Ziya Ibrizah Dony Kristian Copyright (c) 2025 Nur Asih, Silviana Purwanti , Ziya Ibrizah, Dony Kristian https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-17 2025-10-17 6 10 3229 3237 10.59141/jiss.v6i10.2046
